Seven of Augeo Family Estate wines were presented at our stand during DiVino.Taste. The specialized wine exhibition took place between the 23^rd and 25^th of November in Inter Expo Center. It got the attention of thousands lovers of good Bulgarian wine.

At stand 54 the visitors could see our numerous awards for medals won from international contests and could taste our awarded wines – Augeo Sauvignon Blanc 2017, Augeo Chardonnay Barrel 2016, Augeo Rose 2017, Augeo Exquisite Rose 2017, as well as our new red wines Augeo Melnik 55 2017, Augeo Ruen 2017 and Augeo Merlo Reserve 2016.

At a special place named Fine Wine Corner, Augeo Family Estate Melnik 55 2016 was among the highest rated Bulgarian wines and was attested against special tasting card.

All Augeo exhibited wines were sold at special prices at Casavino shop located at the exhibition area.

The final result from DiVino – 102 bottles were tasted, hundreds of wine lovers visited our stand and Augeo Family Estate wines got thousands of new fans.

Augeo Family Estate will participate for the first time at DiVino Taste 2018 with our own stall. The event will take place between November 23^rd and 25^th in room 5 of Inter Expo Center.

During the event, the visitors will be able to taste seven of Augeo’s wines. Both white wines in our portfolio – Augeo Sauvignon Blanc 2017 and Augeo Chardonnay Barrel 2016, winners of silver medal in China and bronze medal in Vienna respectively, as well as both of our gold-medal winner roses – Augeo Rose 2017 in China and Augeo Exquisite Rose 2017 in Canada. From the red wines, Augeo Melnik 55 2017, Augeo Ruen 2017 and Augeo Merlot Reserve 2016 will be available for tasting.

The wines of Augeo Family Estate could be found at more and more places around Sofia. The new specialized shops, wine bars and restaurants with special attitude towards wine added our high quality wines to their wine lists this autumn.

The full range of Augeo wines could be tasted at The View restaurant and Tempus Vini Wine Point, a specialized wine shop. Enjoy Wine and Vino Orenda are shops with an amazing selection of wines, where Augeo’s wines from the local varieties Ruen, Melnik 55, Mavrud Reserve and Augeo Rose were recently added. Balaban Wine – a wine bar and shop in the central part of the capital, also choose red wines from local varieties. Sauvignon Blanc, Exquisite Rose and Mavrud Reserve could be found at The Restaurant in Crystal Palace Boutique Hotel, and our whites and roses are available at Graphite Restaurant.

Taste our wines in these fantastic places, whose owners support the producers of quality Bulgarian wine! In the week of 22 to 27 of October, Augeo Family Estate is the Winery of the Week at Vino Orenda, so hurry.

The visitors of Tempus Vini Wine Point were the first ones to try the four red wines of Augeo Family Estate on October 10^th.  They tasted Augeo Melnik 55 from two vintages – 2016 and 2017 and are now sure that the new wine is just as good as the double gold winner from CWSA China Augeo Melnik 55 2016.

In full attendance that made part of the guests more upstairs on the second floor of the specialized shop, the visitors heard Augeo’s story, familiarized themselves about the meaning of the name and found out more about our future plans. After several intensive days of grapes-picking from the middle until the end of September, the grapes from the own vineyards of Augeo Family Estate were collected successfully by three generations of grape-pickers.The weather this year was more rainy than usual, and in August the temperatures rose to 35 degrees Celsius. Because of that, the grapes-picking started about a week earlier than usual. We began with the grapes of the typical Bulgarian grape variety Melnik 55, which only grows in the Melnik region. We continued with the variety Shiroka Melnishka, which is called like that because of its broad leaves and the region it grows in. Lastly, we collected the variety Ruen. The grapes has high quality and are now in the process of turning into our wine from the vintage 2018. In a few months’ time with patience you could try the future Augeo Rose in the spring of next year and the red wines from Melnik 55 and Ruen – in the autumn.

Now all of Augeo Family Estate’s wines are medalists! After the successes of Augeo Melnik in China and England, Augeo Rose and Augeo Sauvignon Blanc in China, and Augeo Exquisite Rose in Canada, now Augeo Chardonnay Barrel added a distinction to its collection of awards.

Seal of Approval – bronze medal for Augeo Family Estate Chardonnay Barrel 2016 at AWC International Wine Challenge in Vienna. This year the participants reached a record – 12 402 wines from 1716 producers from 39 countries competed for the awards. Augeo Chardonnay needed between 84 and 86.9 points to win. The competition, which takes place in Vienna in the last 15 years, is setting the benchmark for the most renowned wine tasting competitions in the world. If a wine wins a medal, it means that it is of really high quality. AWC is the largest officially recognized wine competition in the world.

This medal brought a lot of pride and happiness for the team that creates Augeo Family Estate’s exquisite Bulgarian wines.

Two of the Augeo Family Estate wines won medals at China Wine and Spirits Awards ‎‎2018. Augeo Rose 2017 won a gold medal and Augeo Sauvignon Blanc 2017 conquered a silver medal. The wines of Augeo Family Estate are the only Bulgarian ones to win medals in this year’s edition.

“It is an enormous joy and pride for us to receive another international reward, and it helps us to show the world that in Bulgaria we make amazing wine at a high level,” said Gergana Manolova, Marketing Director and a partner in the firm Exquisite Wines.

The gold medalist Augeo Family Estate Rose 2017 is a blend between the typical Bulgarian grape variety Shiroka Melnishka with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The wine is fresh with fruity and flower aromas and has medium body. The silver medal winner Augeo Family Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2017 is tenderly and fresh wine has pale yellow color made in European style.

The competition was challenging with over 5 thousand wines participating from all over the world. Over 100 wine experts from China were jury members at the competition. They had a blind tasting using the 100 points system in order to rank the wines in the prestigious competition that took place earlier in August in Hong Kong.

The Augeo Family Estate wines are medalists from wine challenges in three continents. Earlier this year Augeo Family Estate Melnik 55 2016 added a double gold medal again from China to its medal from England from November last year, and Augeo Family Estate Exquisite Rose 2017 won gold in Canada.

China is a wine market that continues to grow exponentially and the interest for importing European wine is increasing each year. China is set to become the second largest ‎in the world by 2020‎ in terms of wine consumption, overtaking traditional markets like the UK and France. The import of wine from all over the world is worth 21 billions of dollars each year.

In September Augeo Family Estate will reveal four new red wines. A few days ago we bottled Augeo Ruen 2017, and today we are finalizing the bottling of the new vintage of Augeo Melnik 55 2017. In the following weeks we will finish the preparation and the bottling of Augeo Mavrud Reserve 2016 and Augeo Merlot Reserve 2016. We cannot wait until you taste them!
